A unique and transformative Vedic Mānas Yoga training program for visually impaired students was successfully conducted on 25th & 26th August 2023 at the Patanjali Research Institute, Haridwar, Uttarakhand, under the guidance of Shri Arvind Rana Ji.
The special workshop was designed to enhance awareness, concentration, confidence, sensory responsiveness, and cognitive development through structured mind-training practices and awareness-based activities tailored specifically for visually impaired students.
Participants exhibited Enhanced Abilities
Over the course of the two-day program, several students demonstrated remarkable improvements in Focus, Attentiveness, Sensory Perception, and Response Capabilities. Participants including Chandramani, Anish, and Aman displayed enhanced awareness and an improved ability to identify colours, objects, and written patterns during guided exercises conducted without direct visual assistance.
Student Chandramani, A blind child by birth’s experience has been the most inspiring moments of the workshop as he demonstrated the ability to identify colours and recognize six-letter words through focused awareness-based exercises. Similarly, students Anish and Aman also exhibited significant development in concentration and sensory response during the sessions.
Student Anish, a student from Swami Ajaranand Andh Vidyalaya, Haridwar, showed notable improvement in colour recognition and awareness-based response activities within just two days of training.
The students expressed immense joy, confidence, and enthusiasm after experiencing improved concentration, greater mental clarity, and stronger engagement in learning activities. The workshop also included guided mobility and awareness exercises aimed at helping students navigate their surroundings with increased confidence and attentiveness.
Objective of VMY training
The master trainer Shri Arvind rana ji shared that the primary objective of Vedic Mānas Yoga is to strengthen inner awareness, focus, mental discipline, and holistic personality development through consistent practice and scientifically structured awareness techniques rooted in ancient Vedic wisdom.
The initiative received appreciation for its inclusive and compassionate approach toward empowering visually impaired students with greater self-confidence, awareness, and active participation in everyday learning experiences.
