August 18, 2023, Haridwar: A two-day workshop on the Indian meditation practice for holistic health was held at Patanjali University, Haridwar. This event also featured a demonstration of Vedic Manas Yoga. Children of Patanjali Research Foundation Scientists along with students from Patanjali Gurukulam, participated in this demonstration. The children astonished everyone with their incredible abilities—they identified colors, read words on screens, and filled pictures with beautiful colors—all while blindfolded.
In his address, Acharya Balkrishna, the co-founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Vice-Chancellor of Patanjali University, stated that there are many hidden secrets in our ancient yoga knowledge that require research. He also announced plans to start an online certificate course for training teachers in Vedic Manas Yoga at Patanjali University. Additionally, he shared information about the research being conducted on Vedic Manas Yoga, also known as pineal gland activation or midbrain activation, by scientists from the Patanjali Research Foundation. Shri Arvind Rana, the coordinator and chief trainer of Vedic Manas Yoga, briefly highlighted how activating the pineal gland through Maharishi Patanjali's meditation technique, brain gym, and sound therapy yields results.
At the closing ceremony of the workshop, co-founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Vice Chancellor of Patanjali University, Acharya Balkrishna, respected member from Gayatri Pariwar Shri Veereshwar Upadhyay, Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University Dr. Bhuvanesh Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland Central University and several other universities Dr. Gauri Dutt Sharma, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Patanjali University Dr. Mahavir Agrawal were present. Scientists from the Patanjali Research Foundation, including Dr. Upasana Agrawal, Mrs. Neeta Rana, and Ms. Shubhangi Srivastava, also contributed to the success of this event.
